Café Masala

Tonight was the first time we’ve ever had food from Cafe Masala and certainly won’t be the last. We ordered for collection and were impressed by the variety. My partner ordered the Gunpowder from the specialities section and said it was full of flavour and spice. Everything had such a wonderful freshness to it. We’re so glad to have found this restaurant as we’ve lived 10 mins down the road for 2 years but didn’t know it existed and none of the other Indian restaurants we’ve tried have impressed us quite like this one. We will certainly be dining in next time as my partner said it looked great in there and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious

Was recommended by a local to try this place, and we were definitely not disappointed. First thing is that it was really busy, which is always a good sign - if the locals like this place they must be doing something right. The restaurant itself was nicely done up, and clean, although I felt it could do with just a tad more lighting inside. The menu was pretty extensive, and after a very short wait, we ordered a dhal, mixed tandoori grill, and a kebab afghani curry with naans and parathas. Suffice to say the meal was excellent, with just the right amount of spice, piping hot, and served without an inordinate amount of delay. The service was excellent, and I mean really excellent with the waiters always making sure we were OK, and even the owner popping over to say hello to some out of towners, and even giving us some guidance on the locality. Prices were reasonable, and plenty of off-road parking also available. All in all, highly recommended and would go again if in that neck of the woods.
